Our Family Story
For six generations, the Dewing family has farmed, made maple syrup, and worked the land of our Pennsylvania Century Farm in northeastern Bradford County. From the beginning, our roots have run deep in the values passed down by our early-American Puritan ancestors: a love for God, service to community, respect for the land, hard work, and unwavering family loyalty.
Andrew Dewing raised his three sons with these same values—and a shared vision for building something lasting, together. Over the years, we’ve built more than barns, fences, and fields—we’ve built a way of life rooted in faith, family, and craftsmanship.
Now, that legacy is taking new shape.
Nate Dewing, Andrew’s second son, has spent years developing expertise in concrete installation and inspection. With a passion for excellence and an eye for detail, he’s leading the next chapter: Dewing Construction, a growing family enterprise with a mission to serve our community by building things that last.
He’s not alone. His older brother, Mat—a seasoned entrepreneur with a strong business background—lends support in the background and with his back. And while our youngest brother, Joel, is technically doing his own thing, let’s just say we have a hunch he won’t be able to stay out of the picture for long.
As a family, we’re passionate about construction and about helping our local communities build enduring structures. But even more than that, we’re passionate about building people, honoring our legacy, and Dewing it The Excellent Way.
